Throughout the eighty-year history of Emmanuel College, the Administration Building has served as the focal point of the campus. Originally designed as a unique combination of residential, classroom, and worship space, this building has evolved to accommodate the changing needs of the college and its student body. Emmanuel College asked Beacon Architectural Associates to modernize the building infrastructure and to implement organizational and programmatic changes. The Gothic exterior remained, thus maintaining the Administration Building’s prominence as the centerpiece of Emmanuel’s campus as well as in Boston’s historic Fenway.
