Beacon Architectural Associates assisted Lawrence Academy in both the planning and implementation of a new arts center. An unused gymnasium and locker rooms in the Gray Building on the main quadrangle were transformed into a performing arts suite, library, and fine arts studios with exterior patios. The exterior of the building was renovated to reflect the neo-Georgian character of the quadrangle. Special acoustic demands for the performing arts rooms necessitated imaginative programming of spaces, careful design consideration, and construction administration follow-through.
