Century Bank requested Beacon Architectural Associates to design this branch in the only retail space of the MBTA Blue Line Transformer Building, which is located in the Faneuil Hall area of downtown Boston. The design team was challenged by a program that required the development of a 450 square foot branch and the incorporation of an ATM, safe deposit, and courier box into an existing glass facade while maintaining the aesthetic lines of this architecturally award-winning building. Century's Bank finishes and standards were adopted and the branch designed so as to harmonize with the building's exterior facade.
