Beacon
has worked extensively with academic clientele continually providing
services for a wide range of facilities including classrooms, administrative offices, dining facilities, laboratories, athletic facilities, libraries, and student activity/residence facilities.
Whether we are involved in programming, space planning, feasibility
studies, schematic design, or construction administration, Beacon understands
the administrative and scheduling needs of our educational clients. We
collaborate with administration, faculty, and student representatives
as well as an institution’s facilities department to help define
and distill project goals and objectives. Beacon understands the
scheduling constraints for universities and have successfully completed
many renovations on time and on budget, including summer "barn burners."
Beacon has worked with many higher education institutions and we enjoy ongoing relationships with Boston University (since 1981), Harvard University (since 2000), Boston College (since 2004), Boston Medical Center (since 2000), and both the University of Massachusetts-Amherst and the University of Massachusetts Medical School in Worcester (where we have been house doctors since 2003). |
